Port 11211 — Memcached

What It Does

Caches data in RAM for microsecond retrieval. Websites check here before the database.

A 10-Year-Old's Example Teacher writes five common answers on whiteboard. You raise hand — teacher points. Memcached is that board.

Remember This Memcached: RAM caching. Restrict to trusted servers.

Security Note Memcached access controls depend on deployment and build options. Disable UDP unless needed, bind to trusted interfaces, and never expose it broadly.

Port 27017 — MongoDB

What It Does

Default MongoDB port. JSON-like documents instead of table rows. Flexible structures.

A 10-Year-Old's Example Desk folders: Science has photos + report + drawing. English has just report. MongoDB: each folder unique.

Remember This Default MongoDB port. Flexible documents. Always enable authentication.
