Terms

Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using EliExplains.org, a free educational website.

Acceptance

These terms describe the conditions for using EliExplains.org. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Ownership and operation

EliExplains.org was founded by and is owned and operated by Vansh Tiwari. It is part of Open Mosaic Education Foundation, the name of an educational initiative operated by Vansh Tiwari. The initiative is not currently a separate registered legal entity. No claim of nonprofit incorporation, charitable registration, or tax-exempt status is made.

EliExplains.org is an educational resource, not an accredited school, university, or government service. References to universities, publishers, professional bodies, or examination providers do not imply affiliation with or endorsement by those organizations.

What the site is for

EliExplains.org provides free educational explanations of college-level concepts, presented at two levels: a college-level explanation and a plain-language “Eli-10” version. The material is general educational information, not individualized advice or formal instruction, and is provided without charge for personal, non-commercial learning.

Educational content and accuracy

We aim to keep explanations accurate, sourced, and current, and our Sources & Standards page describes how content is researched and reviewed. Educational material can still contain errors or become outdated, and no lesson is a substitute for your course requirements, your instructor’s guidance, or professional advice — see the Educational Disclaimer. Content that has not completed source review is not published as authoritative material.

Intellectual property

Copyright in original EliExplains contributions is claimed by Vansh Tiwari only to the extent those contributions are protected by applicable law. Third-party materials retain their applicable rights and licenses. You may read and link to the site, and reuse material where an applicable license, fair use, or another legal exception permits it. Other uses of protected original material require permission. Attribution alone does not replace permission when permission is required. See Copyright & Licensing for the scope of these rights, branding, and reuse information.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to attempt to disrupt, probe, or overload it, to misrepresent your affiliation with it, or to present its content in a way that implies endorsement of unrelated products or services. There are no user accounts or submission features, so no terms are needed for user content at this time; if such features are added, these terms will be updated first.

Availability, warranties, and liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The site may change, pause, or end at any time — it is currently under active construction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Links to other sites

Citations and references link to external sources, including publishers, universities, and government sites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and linking to them does not imply their endorsement of EliExplains.org or ours of them.

Changes and contact

These terms may be revised as the site grows; the effective date below reflects the latest revision. Contact Vansh Tiwari at [email protected] with questions.

Effective date: September 28, 2026. This page is reviewed whenever the site’s behavior changes.
